Cancer treatment is being enhanced by new technologies and research being done by scientist globally. The NIH has donated millions of dollars to several unversities to conduct research specifically for cancer and the work and money donated has proved to be useful.

Recently the HPV vaccine created at Georgetown University has impacted the role of cancer by actually preventing the onset of cancer from the HPV virus. Other treatments enhanced by technology are beneficial in detecting and removing tumorous cells that may be the origin of a specific cancer itself.

There are several types of cancers that claims thousands each year but the innovation of profound research and technology has decreased the number of deaths from cancer gradually each year.
