Milestones In Cancer Treatment.

In medical history, cancer treatment has come a long way. However, it has many, many miles to go before it catches up to cancer detection. As technology improves, we are able to find more types of cancers at earlier stages of development. Once they are detected, however, not much has changed in the way of treatment. For example, Chemotherapy, the most widely used treatment, often has extremely devastating effects on patients. Therefore, we must continue our efforts to discover new and less invasive ways of eradicating this disease. Hopefully, one day soon, treatment options will equal or surpass detection methods.
